Sunshine Blogger Award 2021

oooh la la! I won an award. Thanks for nominating me Ogara Derrick for The Sunshine Blogger Award. It means so much to me. I have a very close relationship with the blogging awards in the community here. I remember how we all met each other on community WordPress posts years back and that’s all very nostalgic.

As Ogara happens to win this award for the very first time I would like you all to join with me in applausing our fellow blogger who is also very much consistent. I know it might have felt amazing when someone nominated you Ogara. You might have felt that sense of joy and you might have felt that everything has fallen into place all of a sudden. The day you started with this blog and where you are now is adding that extra feather in your cap. So treat yourself with a movie day, okay? Writing these posts is amazing than just posting on social media here and there. Believe me the online friends you meet through this venue will be super.

Let’s get a bit more nostalgic, shall we? Years ago I got nominated for Sunshine Blogger Award and as I go through my answers I wrote at that moment just makes me realize how I have evolved so far in my life. It is such a blissful feeling. I do feel a bit weird because the blogger who nominated me at that time stopped blogging mid-way all of a sudden and I don’t have any idea where they are as of now. Guys! We have been through a pandemic!! That blogger happened to be among the very first few with whom I interacted with on WP. And I don’t know where they are. Just like the passengers we meet on the journey and they drop off whenever they reach at certain stations. This journey has been like that. Blogging can be a tedious task, right? But I do come back to this platform very often. And I urge you all readers to find that fun whenever you are here. Interact and support each other. It all just gets better!

1. Who do you look up to?

Growing up I had never relied on any one inspiring personality I have looked up to. Its bit a mix of all conventional and unconventionalities. So, Shakira! I look up to her and Gaga. First female astronaut and first female etc etc so far haven’t pushed any buttons for me yet. I gain inspiration from someone who dares to go for things and do it. Sometimes a bit crazy and weird. Hmm! Shakira’s ability to speak so many languages just gets me like, omg! and belly dance too. DO HIPS LIE?

2. How do you want your blog to be like 5 years from now?

Doing pretty well after five years too. Its the year 2026 and I am living this amazing life and you all are reading some banter or talks where I tell you more erotic stories or something ambitious. And of course, you all would say I am cute and sweet and hot in the comments section. We are planning meet-ups a bit away from LA. I am updating you all with my YouTube videos. I am proud of myself and I love you guys even more.

3. How did you come up with your domain & site title?

Oh! It was just I wanted to have 20s in the name and now its Ily that is I love you. Like I am loving my 20s.

4. Which would you prefer: poems or fiction tales all day?

Fiction Tales!

5. What do you love most about the wordpress community?

If you find the right people on here they will stick with you. Stick with you in your good times and bad. I won’t compare any other platform with this and the community because we are living in the world where outrage, social media identity happens to be the currency. The community brings in more personalized experience and it all opens up the windows to very intimate stories which no one within your circle actually knows. One can be in this community anonymously and create good connection with their stories. (sometimes I feel that I am everywhere on the internet with my pictures and all, but you know, I am an idiot)

7. What’s that one thing you knew about blogging earlier?

Actually I knew nothing.

8. What’s your greatest life lesson?

Ask questions! Get answers. Find ways and don’t just assume.

9.What’s your dream destination for a vacation?

Positano! Since I saw the place in this song. Watch the song!

10. Are you a cat person or a dog person?

I don’t have any pet yet. But I am a cat person.

11. What’s your favourite food?

I feel satiated when I am famished and eat Indian homemade food. Nothing can replace the flavour of Rice & Dal along with the Ghee. This is my everyday favourite food.
